Handwoven Collaborative Wall Piece
Textile created on a manual loom during a live weaving demonstration. This piece was developed in collaboration with clients of a Loewe in-store event, marking the launch of a collection inspired by Anni Albers textiles.
The composition builds on a structured yet expressive interplay of color and texture, referencing Albers’ approach to material exploration and geometric rhythm. Woven in natural and blended fibers, the fabric reflects both the precision of the maker and the spontaneity of multiple hands contributing to its surface.
Each section carries subtle variations, revealing the dialogue between artisan and participant, resulting in a unique textile that embodies process, gesture, and shared creation.

Technique: Hand-woven on a manual loom
Dimensions: 189 cm (height) + fringe × 48,5 cm (width) - on the wall folded 1,50cm
Materials: Arraiolos wool and recycled wool from Covilhã.
Handspun Wool Textile Panel
Inspired by the ARTISTIC RESIDENCY “ALIGNED BY THE SAME WOOL”, the piece is constructed using handspun wool, prepared and spun by the artist, giving the surface a raw yet controlled tactility.
The design explores linear continuity and subtle relief, where bands of texture emerge through variations in density and tension. The irregularities of the handspun yarn introduce depth and movement, making each section slightly unique.
Suitable as a framed piece, wall covering, or textile panel, it adapts naturally to interior spaces seeking warmth, texture, and understated presence.

Where I come from and where I am going
Description
In this piece, I interweave my own roots with the roots of a tree. Those that come from the land where I was born, from my ancestry, from the geographies that have shaped me—and the invisible roots that tie us to a place, even when we leave.
The fragmented map transforms into material, shifting from boundary to body. Wool grows over the paper like an organic root, both firm and sensitive, symbolising what sustains us: memory, territory, belonging.
This work is a poetic gesture on identity—on what anchors us to the earth while allowing us to expand.

If My Couch Could Tell
Description
This piece is woven from a fabric that once covered a sofa for nearly twenty years—the quiet center of a home where life unfolded in its most intimate forms. It held conversations, silences, shared films, and bedtime stories. It witnessed moments of joy and loss, including the telling of a grandfather’s passing, and welcomed friends who rested within its space.
Through time, the sofa absorbed laughter, tears, and the weight of memory. In this work, that presence is transformed. The original fabric becomes both material and narrative, carrying traces of lived experience into a new form.
As I wove, I translated these memories into structure—writing them into the textile through gesture and rhythm. Crosses and geometric elements emerge across a grey field, forming a quiet language of connection, absence, and continuity. Each intersection suggests a moment held, a story layered, a bond remembered.
The piece becomes an archive of touch and time—where personal history is not described, but embedded.
