Handwoven Wool for Celebration
This unique collaboration between Cross Lights and Just Burel brings together contemporary craftsmanship and timeless materials. For this special capsule project, we created an exclusive handwoven textile using recycled wool yarns from Covilhã—Portugal’s historic wool region—enhanced with subtle golden and silver metallic threads for a festive and luminous finish.
The fabric was designed specifically for a pair of limited-edition sneakers by Just Burel, a brand known for its refined footwear. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to Portuguese heritage, sustainable practices, and slow fashion.
Each sneaker becomes a celebration of texture, light, and local craftsmanship. The collection is a first step in an ongoing collaboration, with plans to develop a small annual capsule that unites our creative visions.

1. Colour and material variations
Photos and colours displayed may vary slightly from the final product, due to differences in electronic devices (mobile phones, computers, tablets) and the handcrafted nature of the fabrics. Each pair is unique and reflects the authenticity of handmade work.
2. Handcrafted and exclusive product
All sneakers are handcrafted in Portugal, in small series or made-to-order. Slight variations in texture or finishing are normal and part of the value of an artisanal piece.
3. Returns policy
Returns are only accepted in case of a proven manufacturing defect or damage to the product. Returns are not accepted for reasons of personal taste, perceived colour variation, or incorrect size choice.
If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 5 days of receipt, providing photos and a description of the defect.
